SSC CGL 2017 online application form: How to fill the form (Complete Step by Step Guide for Part-I and II Registration)

Looking for SSC CGL online application form 2017: See the step by step procedure for filling the online application form 

As you already know that the official Notification for the SSC CGL 2017 has been displayed on to the SSC official website and the process for filling the online application form will commence from 16th May and lasted upto 16th June 2017. In our previous post we do our best to provide you the detailed words of the official Notification and the link for the same has also been provided later in the Post. It is worth while to mention here that SSC CGL Notification was previously advertised in the start of this year but it delays due to some reason and now finally it come out in the month of May this year. 


Candidates who prepares for this Exam quite for a long time and now the time has come to apply for this exam and qualify the exam by giving best of yours. But before filling the online application form candidates must read out all the instructions mentioned in the official Notification and also importantly to check the eligibility Criteria and those who attain the requisite criteria and after that go head for filling the form. In this post we will do our best to tell you the each and every aspects for filling the form and also give you the step by step procedure for filling the form.

Pre Requisite for filling the online application form 

1) Scanned Photograph and Signature in the JPG format

2) Valid email id 

Guidelines for Photograph Image

  • It must be recent 
  • It should be in JPG format
  • File size must be less than 12kb and greater than 1kb.

Guidelines for Signature Image

  • It must be recent 
  • It should be in JPG format
  • File size must be morethan 30kb and lessthan 50kb

Step by step Procedure for filling the online Application form 

  • Candidates needs to click the official website www.ssc.nic.in  and then click the link through which the online applications will be accepted.
  • After clicking that particular link candidates then go for Part-I Registration in which the candidates must fill all basic details like Name, Parentage, Address, Center option and Qualification details etc and many more.
  • In Part-I Registration candidates must fill all the mandatory details which will marked with (*) sign and after that click the submit button to complete the Part-I Registration
  • After that a Registration No will be generated either note down that No or take a print out of it because through that No you can proceed for the Part-II Registration
  • In Part-II Registration the uploading of scanned Photograph & Signature and Examination fee process needs to be done.
  • In order to go for Part-II Registration firstly login through that Registration No.
  • After login choose the mode of Payment either offline and online 
  • In offline mode application fee should be paid through the System generated Challan form and take print out of that challan form and paid the requisite fee to the nearest SBI branch. 
  • In online mode the application fee should be paid through the Credit/Debit Card or through SBI Net Banking facility.
  • Copy of the challan form through which the application fee is paid or online payment details must retained and produced on demand.
  • Those who are exempted for paying the fee should skip this Payment mode step.
  • Now proceed for uploading the scanned Photograph and signature 
  • This way the whole process for filling the form should be done.

SSC CGL 2017 Updated Exam Pattern and Syllabus for all three Tier's: Changes occured

SSC CGL 2017: Updated Exam Pattern and Syllabus 

Few days back SSC finally released its CGL 2017 Exam Notification on to its official link and so many vacancies have been Notified for the eligible candidates of India and to fill up these vacancies online application form has been invited from all the educated candidates across India before 16th of June 2017 and these vacancies may be filled up for the various Ministries/Departments/ Organisations in the Group B and C. Initially the SSC CGL Notification was been Notified in the start of this year but it has been delayed and now finally it has been out in the month of May.

Candidates who awaited for this Exam for the year now do not waste more time to make your presence for this exam and will sure that your application form will be filled as soon as possible. After filling the online application form every one will look for some more information related to the SSC CGL Exam 2017 like the eligibility Criteria, Exam pattern and Syllabus and many more. But in this post we will give provide the complete information about the Exam pattern followed by the SSC for this Exam.

A) Tier-I: This Exam will be computer based which consist of four section

1) General Intelligence
Question: 25
Marks: 50

2) General Awareness
Question: 25
Marks: 50

3) Quantitative Aptitude
Question: 25
Marks: 50

4) English Comprehension
Question: 25
Marks: 50

Total time duration for the Tier-I Exam : 60 Minutes

In tier-I there will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer

B) Tier-II: This Exam will also be computer based consists of four section

1) Quantitative Abilities
Question: 100
Marks: 200

2) English Language and Comprehension
Question: 200
Marks: 200

3) Statistics (Paper I and II as above)
Question: 100
Marks: 200

4) General Studies (Finance and Economics)  (Paper I and II as above)
Question: 100
Marks: 200

Total time duration for the Tier-I Exam : 120 Minutes

In Tier-II negative marking is like that

Paper-II (English language and Comprehension): 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer.  

Paper-I, III and IV: 0.50 negative marking for each wrong answer.


Syllabus for Tier-II Examination 








































C) Tier-III: This will be a descriptive paper of English/ Hindi (writing of Essays/ Precise/ letter/ Applications etc) in Pen and Paper mode.

Total Marks: 100
Time duration: 60 Minutes

Candidates will need to qualify all three tier's (I/II & III) separately and there will be no sectional cut- off and merit list will be prepared on over all performance in all three tier's.

This CGL exam will be conducting every year by the SSC for filling up various categories of post in various Ministries/Department and organisation. Eligibility Criteria for SSC CGL Exam 2017

Educational Qualification
I) Assistant Audit officer/Assistant Accounts officer 
Bachelor Degree from Govt. Recognized University.

Desirable Qualification: C.A or Cost and Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce/Business Studies/Business Administration (Finance)/ Business Economics   

II) Junior Statistical officer: Bachelor Degree in any subject with 60% marks in Maths at 10+2 level 

OR

Bachelor Degree in any subject with statistics as one of the subjects.

III) All other Posts: Bachelor Degree from Govt. recognized University.

Exam Pattern followed: There will be four Tier process as mentioned below

Tier-I: Computer Based Examination

Tier-II: Computer Based Examination

Tier-III: Descriptive Paper (Pen and Paper Mode)

Tier-IV: Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (Wherever applicable)

Examination Fee- Rs 100 through SBI challan form or net banking facility or Debit/Credit Card.
